2018 Focus Group for Land Trust Treasurers and Finance Committee Chairs
Powerpoint of Information and Resources >>
Prepared by Rick Newton, Treasurer, Avalonia Land Conservation, Member, CLCC Advisory Council
The purpose of the CLCC Focus Group Series is twofold: to provide peer-to-peer networking for a group of individuals serving in a similar capacity in diverse land trusts, who otherwise might not get the opportunity to meet and talk; and to gather information and gain a better understanding of how Connecticut’s land trusts use their boards, staff and volunteers to increase organizational capacity.
Due to the popularity of the program and based on feedback from many of you, this will be our third Treasurers/Finance Committee Chair Focus Group offered since 2013. This year, however, in addition to our facilitated discussion around pertinent topics in the morning, we are very excited to include a hands-on Quick Books training session in the afternoon.

We’d love your input in developing our agenda! Our goal for the Focus Group is to provide participants with information and insight about issues connected with the management of land trust finances.
When you RSVP to Rick, please consider sharing your suggestions as to what topics would be most helpful to you in your capacity as land trust treasurer/finance committee chair.
Thank you in advance for your interest and participation. We would be very pleased to have you join us to share your expertise and talk with your peers across the state.
