Our second annual summer series of Regional Conservation Conversations was a big success. Hosted by local land trusts and other partners, we celebrated seven land conservation success stories around the state made possible by DEEP's Open Space & Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program (OSWA) - funded by the Community Investment Act - and other state, federal, and local investments.
Approximately 250 land trust members, state legislators, local elected officials, and other people of all ages who love the land, joined us for informal walks at preserves, farms, and community gardens, exchanging thoughts about land conservation priorities -- and enjoying each other's company.
It was a ton of fun!
Of course, while the summer may be over, our conversations around land conservation take place all year round.
With your help, they will continue in perpetuity.
Enjoy the beauty of the Autumn season and thank you for giving us so much to talk about.
