This website is intended to provide those who are engaged in land conservation in Connecticut with information and resources that will aid their work. All information, documents, sample policies, easement examples, etc. are intended to provide land trusts with guidance for the purpose of illustration and education.

Resources available in this section include:

  • Information Resources Library - the entire CLCC catalog of sample documents, articles, presentations, links and downloads, searchable by topic.
  • Funding Programs - information on available private and public land conservation funding sources.
  • Community Exchange - links to the CT Land Trust Listserv and other online forums where you can communicate and network with your peers.

Other Helpful Sites

In addition to our own growing library, there are other organizations whose websites are full of helpful information.  Please consider visiting:

The Land Trust Alliance - national umbrella organization for land trusts whose mission is to save the places people love by strengthening land conservation across America.  Particularly useful sections of this site include The Learning Center (containing all the content in the new Standards and Practices Curriculum books, discussion forums, sample documents, Rally presentations, Exchange articles and much more), as well as the tax policy (exhaustive resources on tax incentives, regulations and filings) and lobbying sections.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission - an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance who operates a land trust accreditation program to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation and help ensure the long-term protection of land.
