There is still time to make a difference! Ask your legislators to: Co-sponsor Public Lands Protection Bill (SJ36) and Oppose cuts to CEQ

As one legislator recently told me, "Keep up the good fight. It's important!"

The legislative session ends Weds. May 4 at midnight, but there is still time to make a difference that will impact generations to come!
Please contact your State Senators and Representatives and ask that they:

  • Join the growing list of co-sponsors (listed below) of Senate Joint Resolution 36 -a bill that would amend the state Constitution to better protect state lands, including conservation and agricultural lands, from being sold, swapped, or given away without adequate public input.  If your legislatorsare on the list of co-sponsors, please thank them for their support and ask that they bring SJ36 to the floor of the Senate for a vote.
  • Oppose Cuts to the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) -  The Governor's Third Mid-term Budget Adjustment Proposal, released yesterday, includes elimination of funding for CEQ, which has served as the state's independent environmental watch-dog agency since 1971.
Your calls and emails are absolutely making a difference. Please continue to contact your legislators on these critical issues.
Thank you for your support and partnership!
