On July 13, we’ll visit the Atkinson-Dirlam Preserve – a land conservation success story in the making funded in part by a CT DEEP Open Space & Watershed Land Acquisition Program (OSWA) grant.
Avalonia Land Conservancy will acquire this 250-acre forested parcel later this year, contributing over five miles of wide, compacted wood roads and additional single-track trails to The Great Oak Greenway – creating one of the largest trail systems in southeastern Connecticut.
