The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Grant Program is a competitive grant initiative through DEEP using funds from the Connecticut Lakes, Rivers & Ponds Preservation Account (established under Public Act 19-190). It aims to support restoration/rehabilitation of aquatic systems (lakes, rivers, ponds), eradicate aquatic invasive species and harmful algal blooms, conduct research, and undertake education and outreach efforts to improve the management of aquatic natural resources. Eligible applicants include state agencies, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
