The Wood-Pawcatuck Wild & Scenic Rivers Community Grants provide funding up to $10,000 per project to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, or educational institutions with activities that align with the watershed’s Stewardship Plan (Chapter 6). With $54,000 available in this round, project proposals should aim to protect or enhance the watershed’s hydrology/geology, ecosystems, cultural heritage, scenic/recreation, water quality, or maintain “free-flowing condition” of streams. The application window runs through December 29, 2025, and applicants can seek support for land acquisition or easement work, water quality initiatives, legal/surveying costs, stewardship planning, among other eligible uses.
