Communications

Provide professional communications expertise and data base management to the organization to support day to day functions and long-term goals and objectives.

• Maintain and create social media content including but not limited to Facebook.
• Work with the webmaster to update and improve the current website.
• Identify actions that improve our membership/public engagement through after action surveys, etc.
• Maintain and keep up to date the organizations data base of land records, membership lists, property maps, forest management plans, monthly and annual meeting minutes, etc.
• Maintain a searchable up-to–date membership list and manage electronic communication with members.
• Send out mass mailings to the membership and/or email blasts.
• In person attendance at 6 Board of Director Meetings and the Annual Meeting to take notes and participate as needed.
• Assist with review of the quarterly newsletter as requested.

An average of 5 hours per week is anticipated, with some weeks needing more hours and some requiring less. Individual must provide their own computer sufficient to carry out required duties from their own home office. Roughly 90% of the required work can be done remotely, but in person attendance is required for BOD meetings and the Annual Meeting. BOD meetings currently take place in the Hampton/Willimantic/Putnam area in the evening. Annual meeting may take place anywhere in northeastern Connecticut and is on a Saturday or Sunday. Must be able to provide their own transportation to meetings.
