The Development Associate is a central member of NCLC’s outreach and development team, responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organization’s comprehensive capital campaign, planning and coordination of major donor events, and prospect research. With direction and support from the Executive Director and Membership Engagement Manager, the Development Associate will create and maintain files, data, agendas, and other supporting campaign documents related to NCLC’s annual fundraising and campaign activities. The Development Associate will coordinate communications with the campaign volunteer committees, set up meetings, and prepare campaign-related reports and other documents. The Development Associate will also assist with prospect research and the production and distribution of campaign materials.

Special event responsibilities include planning and implementing a schedule of cultivation and fundraising events, including major fundraising events and donor cultivation events such as cocktail parties, dinner parties, receptions, hikes, lectures, lunches, and private tours. The planning includes securing venues, working with board and campaign committee members to develop guest lists, securing refreshments and/or caterers, entertainment, and décor when appropriate. The Development Associate will coordinate outreach and follow-up for each event with appropriate communications to hosts, guests, and support staff.
