Executive Director
Joshua’s Trust seeks an Executive Director (ED) to lead a small but passionate team of full-time and part-time staff, working with a large volunteer base and an engaged board of trustees. Joshua’s Trust is a nationally accredited land conservation trust dedicated to preserving open space and natural habitats in northeastern Connecticut. With over 5,000 acres of land under protection in 14 towns, the Trust plays a vital role in the region’s environmental stewardship. Joshua’s Trust also engages the community through educational programs, public access to natural places via our 40-mile network of trails, and the management of historic properties.
The Executive Director of Joshua’s Trust serves as the chief executive officer and provides leadership in conservation efforts, fundraising, community engagement, and organizational development. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the ED works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and partners to achieve the Trust’s mission of protecting land and fostering an appreciation for natural and historical resources in the region.
The ideal applicant will possess a passion for land conservation, environmental stewardship, community engagement, and the mission of Joshua’s Trust. They will have proven experience in non-profit leadership, land conservation or a related field.
