Public Funding Navigator – The Nature Conservancy
The Public Funding Navigator plans, implements and coordinates programs with internal and external partners, including municipal, state, or federal agencies, universities, and/or other NGOs working to secure public funding and implement projects and programs to further the Conservancy’s mission.
Duties include developing, disseminating, and managing public funding proposals consistent with the organization’s priorities, SOPs, and best practices, reviewing proposal scope and objectives, and ensuring alignment with the chapter’s priorities and commitment to equitable conservation outcomes.
They identify, help secure and connect funding to project staff and/or partners to advance implementation of conservation projects and programs that benefit priority outcomes. They build and facilitate internal networks, coordinating meetings, agendas, and presentations. They may influence the outcome of policy and/or corporate initiatives at the country, sub-national, and local levels. They develop and facilitate collaboratives and/or strategic partnerships with relevant agencies, conservation organizations, and industry to advance the organization’s conservation agenda.
Chapter public funding areas of focus include natural resources, nature-based solutions, urban work, climate mitigation and climate adaptation. The position will include natural resource policy and advocacy in balance with its role in public funding.
