Alex Krofta
Alex Krofta has managed dam removal, fishway, and other ecological restoration projects at Save the Sound since 2019. After studying at Clark University and SUNY-ESF, he explored the woods and swamps of Upstate New York as a field technician on reptile and amphibian research projects. Back in his home state of Massachusetts, he worked with Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust and Land Stewardship Inc. doing conservation land stewardship, management, and restoration. Alex completed a program in ecological design and planning at the Conway School in 2015. He went on to lead riparian buffer restoration projects in the Merrimack River watershed and manage conservation lands for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.
