Courtney MacDonald

Board Member
Land Heritage Coalition of Glastonbury

Courtney MacDonald has been involved with the Land Heritage Coalition of Glastonbury since 2008 and has served as both secretary and president over the years. Her association with LHC grew out of a grassroots effort by a local non-profit to preserve and protect a formerly farmed parcel from being subdivided and developed. Originally from the Berkshires, Courtney and her husband have resided in South Glastonbury for 20+ plus years. Over the years, she has served on the Historic District Commission of Glastonbury as well as the board of the Historical Society of Glastonbury.

Courtney became involved with Nix the Knotweed through Diana Fiske and quickly embarked on a coordinated effort with the Town of Glastonbury to tackle Knotweed and other invasives in Ferry Landing Park, which is home to the Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry, the oldest continuously operated ferry in the country.

With her kids off to college, Courtney enjoys volunteering with Foodshare through her church, playing tennis and walking in the fields surrounding her property with her springer spaniel.
