Kathleen Doherty
Kathleen Doherty is the Senior Conservation Manager for Connecticut Farmland Trust, a statewide agricultural land trust. Growing up in New England, Kathleen always admired the beauty of our local landscape.
With a background in regional planning, she came to understand that land is the basis of our lives and livelihoods. After finishing college and earning a Master’s in Regional Planning from UMass-Amherst, Kathleen transitioned to a career in land conservation. She completed a year of AmeriCorps service at Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust in Massachusetts, then worked at a regional land trust in New Hampshire before joining the team at CFT.
She loves working with farmers and landowners to ensure their land will always be available for farming. In her spare time, Kathleen loves cooking with local vegetables and hiking around New England with her husband and their dog.
