Kevin Burgio is a conservation biologist working as a DEEP consultant to write the 2025 Wildlife Action Plan. Kevin is a U.S. Air Force veteran and received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2017. Since then, he has worked at UConn, Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies, New York City Bird Alliance, Hunter College, U.S. Geological Survey, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. While Kevin’s research has largely focused on avian extinction and conservation, he has also worked on parasites, rats, bats, and many other species. He now works for the Wildlife Management Institute.
