Leah Gichuru (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate student at UConn pursuing a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with a minor in Spanish. Leah is currently a Difference Maker Mentor for the UConn Natural Resource Conservation Academy, and a tutor for Natchaug Elementary School students in their after school program. Leah also has held the position as a facilitator for the Anti-Racism forum event for educators hosted by UConn.

She intends on utilizing her academic and work experience towards her career to address racial disparities and implement equity and inclusion within the education and healthcare systems.
