Leigh Youngblood

Leigh has worked in community conservation since 1990 with municipal, land trust, state, and nationwide programs, including co-founding the precursor to the TerraCorps AmeriCorps program in 2008. Leigh served on the Land Trust Alliance’s 16-member Conservation Defense Advisory Council from 2018-2022. Leigh’s professional interest now is applying principles of collaboration and interpersonal neurobiology to antiracism practices. Gather New Haven’s mission is to promote health, equity, and justice through its six interrelated programs: community gardens, farms, farm/nature-based wellness, growing entrepreneurs, nature preserves, and Schooner Day Camp.
