Lilian Ruiz
Executive Director of the CT Connecticut Council on Soil and Water Conservation since 2019. In this role, she oversees the Council’s administration and manages state and federal grants to support conservation efforts. She collaborates with key partners, including CT DEEP, the Department of Agriculture, the Natural Resource Conservation Service, and non-profits to protect and enhance Connecticut’s land, water, and natural resources.
Managing Partner of AgriX Consulting since 2017. AgriX supports food and agribusiness companies achieve environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
Vice Chair of the Conservation Law Foundation Connecticut State Advisory Board.
Ms. Ruiz holds a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University and a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. Her career spans various roles in agricultural research, production, and sustainability. She previously served as the Agriculture Director at Danone, a Consultant with Pentant, a Partner at the Mentor Group, focusing on agribusiness opportunities in Brazil and the U.S., and as a Commodity Analyst and Trader with Louis Dreyfus Commodities (coffee).
Lilian is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has working knowledge of French.
