Mary Walsh
Mary Walsh is the stewardship specialist for the Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy (NCLC), where she oversees the on-the-ground and remote monitoring program for more than 560 properties spanning over 14,000 acres. She manages mapping and spatial analysis for the organization, using GIS to monitor land, assess potential acquisitions, evaluate violations, and map property boundaries. Mary serves as a liaison to over 200 conservation easement landowners, building relationships to foster support for conservation and proper land stewardship.
Prior to joining NCLC, she worked for Westchester Land Trust, where she strengthened her expertise in easement monitoring, landowner outreach, and GIS. Mary has led webinars on topics including remote monitoring and landowner engagement. Mary earned her BS in geology with a concentration in environmental geoscience from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
