Michael Sikora
Michael joined CLCC in June of 2025 as Manager of Communications, after serving for six months in an advisory role. Born and raised in New Britain and Winsted, Connecticut, he is excited and inspired to return to his home state and join the conservation community to protect the open space he used to explore as a young person.
Prior joining CLCC, Michael served in communications leadership and consulting roles at national and international social impact organizations, including the youth development organization JA Worldwide (Junior Achievement), nonprofit consulting group Root Cause, impact investment firm WaterEquity, and national educational service provider BellXcel (formerly BELL – Building Educated Leaders for Life).
Michael earned his Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Boston College. He served in the U.S. Peace Corps at the Discovery Bay Marine Laboratory on the north shore of Jamaica.
In his spare time, Michael exercises his creative nature through photography, woodworking, gardening, and travel with his partner, her son, and their two dogs, Pepper (AKA Shooba Dooba) and Pepper. Yes, they’re both named Pepper.
