In addition to pursuing degrees in Russian Literature, Robin has been a lifelong birder and avid naturalist. Before joining Audubon, Robin taught Russian Literature and Language at Yale University, worked as an Assistant Dean at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Yale, and served on the Board of Menunkatuck Audubon Society as the Advocacy Chair.

For the past 5 years, Robin has helped run a native plant nursery, UrbanScapes, in New Haven’s most underserved neighborhood, Newhallville, staffed by paid interns from the community. Since 2022, Robin has served as the Center Director at BOTR, where she oversees management of 700 acres of mixed young and early successional forest, supports the Junior Forest Technician program, and supervises urban conservation education and conservation programs in Waterbury, CT.
