Independent Contractor and Owner
Save CT Land, LLC

Sue Cope is the Consultant and Founder for Save CT Land, LLC – an independent consulting firm dedicated to helping Connecticut conservation groups further their missions of protecting land across the state.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Sue has an undergraduate degree in Natural Resource Management and Engineering from UConn where she focused on Wildlife Management, and a graduate degree in Environmental Communications from Ball State University where she focused on Sustainability and Documentary Filmmaking.

In her most recent position as the former Environmental Director for the Lyme Land Conservation Trust, Sue oversaw stewardship of 110+ parcels across Lyme, working hand-in-hand with volunteers, landowners, neighbors, and town officials, to ensure that Lyme continued to carry out its mission of land preservation and conservation in perpetuity.

Her ultimate goal aims to reduce the stigma of easement management and ownership, create stronger regional partnerships, and engage more Connecticut communities in conservation on a local level.
