CLCC partnered with Preservation Connecticut to co-host a program for land trusts interested in learning more about historic building ownership. Topics covered included the types of historic restrictions and designations, an introduction to historic restoration, funding opportunities for preservation, and more. We were also joined by Vince LaFontan, Executive Director of Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust, who has worked with Preservation Connecticut to preserve and restore antique structures at Flanders.

This program built upon Preservation Connecticut’s “Talking About Preservation” series. Inspired by the governor’s “Stay Safe, Stay Home” order of March 2020, these virtual noontime conversations shared the happenings in the world of preservation as well as engage community members. Coming up on the 50th session, most of the recordings can be found on the PCT YouTube page, HERE.
