Raptor Ridge Farm is a Lebanon-based conservation grazing and habitat-restoration team specializing in the ecological use of goats for invasive plant suppression, brush reduction, and native plant recovery. We partner with land trusts, municipalities, and stewardship organizations across Connecticut to implement low-impact vegetation management solutions that align with long-term conservation goals.
Our approach focuses on targeted multi-day browsing cycles that weaken invasive species such as multiflora rose, bittersweet, autumn olive, garlic mustard, mugwort, knotweed, and poison ivy while minimizing soil disturbance. We use portable electric fencing, daily site monitoring, and documented before/after photo-points to track progress and ensure animal safety.
Each project begins with a walk-through to understand site goals, sensitive habitats, native plant communities, and public-access considerations. We design tailored grazing plans that fit stewardship priorities such as:
