Sandy Breslin Conservation Fellow
Colin Piteo joined the CLCC in November of 2024 as their Sandy Breslin Conservation Fellow. He is a graduate student from East Hampton, CT, pursuing a master’s degree in public policy from UConn’s School of Public Policy. He holds dual degrees in history and political science with minors in Latin American studies and ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Connecticut. He is currently a teaching assistant in the School of Public Policy, where he assists students in the learning of public policy content.
Colin is most interested in pursuing a career in environmental policy. He has had the opportunity to learn from diverse perspectives through attendance at various UNFCCC Climate Conferences through the UConn@COP fellowship program over the past two years.
At the CLCC, Colin is excited to assist in the objectives of the organization, specifically getting involved in the policy process and helping to pioneer the new Advocates for Land Protection and Stewardship (ALPS)program, connecting our land trusts to the policy-making process. In his free time he likes to walk along Connecticut’s various landscapes, from beaches to forests and hills.
