Elisabeth Moore joined the CLCC board in 2018.

She has over 25 years of experience working with landowners and communities to preserve farmland along with natural and community resources. She is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Farmland Trust and previously served as its Director of Conservation. Elisabeth worked to preserve family farms in New York, served as project manager with the Trust for Public Land’s Connecticut Field Office, and managed the Maryland Environmental Trust’s Rural Historic Village Protection Program. She serves on the steering committee of the Working Lands Alliance and board of the Watershed Fund.

She earned her bachelor’s from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elisabeth considers protecting her family’s land in Northwest Ohio as one of her greatest accomplishments and joys.
