“By setting up this easement arrangement with Greenwich Land Trust, we are guaranteeing the land will continue to remain undeveloped to prioritize the natural health of the local biodiversity, which will now be protected for future generations,” said [landowner] Holt Thrasher.
The Greenwich Land Trust recently acquired a conservation easement on ~12 acres of land owned by Holt and Juliet Thrasher, bringing the land trust’s holdings to 776 acres of open space in town.
Said GLT Executive Director Will Kies, “The land stands out for its beauty and diversity with a stream, a forest, and a meadow, all of which makes it ‘really special.’ ”
