A Partnership Approach to Conserving the New England National Scenic Trail

Using a recent acquisition case study, the Trust for Public Land, Connecticut Forest & Park Association, and National Park Service will discuss protection of the New England Trail (NET) utilizing innovative and collaborative approaches to federally funding acquisitions, best practices for management, and raising awareness for future Connecticut projects on the NET. The NET Trail Administrator will discuss the impacts of the Great American Outdoors Act, permanent funding of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and how to best utilize these fund sources for Trail Protection.
