Intro to Forest Carbon – The Essential Information about the Science of Forest Carbon and Carbon Markets (101 Series)
Forest carbon and its conservation in the Northeast, is an essential part of climate mitigation for the region. The Securing Northeast Forest Carbon Program was created by the State Foresters of the 7 northeastern states to assure that the best and latest information about forest carbon is available to foresters, land trusts and forest landowners. The presentation will cover three topic area: 1) the Science of Forest Carbon; 2) the Science of Forest Carbon Management, and 3) Forest Carbon Offset Markets. Attendees will leave with a good understanding of forest carbon’s role in climate mitigation, the science of forest carbon and carbon markets.
