B.1 Introduction to CT Farmlink: Making Conservation Land Available for Agriculture
CT Farmlink connects farmers with resources and available land opportunities throughout the state. As the potential owners and easement holders of working lands in Connecticut, land trusts have a role to play in providing and improving opportunities for secure land tenure for farmers. This workshop will provide an overview of the tools and strategies available to land trusts interested in connecting with farmers, provide case studies to build from, and discuss some common pitfalls and how to avoid them. Ample time will be left for Q & A and discussion among attendees.
