2021 Conservation Conversations – Lowry Woods Community Forest

October 26, 2021   |   3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join CLCC and the Madison Land Conservation Trust at Lowry Woods Community Forest for a special discussion that brings together state legislators and land trusts across regions in Connecticut to highlight community conservation success stories made possible in part by DEEP’s Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program (OSWA) or Urban Green and Community Garden Program (UGCG) – funded by the Community Investment Act.

We will gather outside to hold Conservation Conversations in person (following any COVID-19 guidelines) across the state this fall in which land trusts will showcase their wonderful properties with an opportunity to discuss land conservation and other local important issues.

“[Lowry Woods Community Forest] represents an extremely rare opportunity to protect open space in the Neck River watershed corridor. The river runs along the western side of the property. The conservation of this land is important to the long-term health of the river, the ground water, and ultimately Long Island Sound.” (From the Madison Land Conservation Trust website)

Space is limited. Registration is required.
