About Our Conference
The Connecticut Land Conservation Conference has been the largest conservation gathering and only land trust convocation of its kind in Connecticut. Attracting over 500 attendees, the Annual Conference has provided dynamic training, networking and information sharing opportunities for board members, staff, and volunteers from Connecticut's many land trusts and conservation organizations.
Rounding out the attendees and presenters, a broad spectrum of people involved with municipal land use commissions, state agencies, private groups with conservation missions including enthusiasts from garden clubs and various grassroots-level land preservation advocates have all joined us for this event.
The uniqueness of 2020 & 2021
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic forced CLCC to restructure its traditional 2020 Annual Conference. Instead of a large, in-person event, CLCC will once again host a virtual gathering for the 2021 Annual Conference.
Voices from the Field: What is a Land Trust Now?
Our 2021 theme is "Voices from the Field: What is a Land Trust Now?" and will consist of four lunchtime roundtables in June. Designed for land trusts of all sizes, this series of interactive conversations with land trust leaders from Connecticut and beyond will offer insights and strategies on how land trusts are maneuvering through a changing world and reflecting on what it means to be a land trust now.
