Launched in 2018, the CT Accredited Land Trust Working Group was created to help land trusts stay connected and current in developments affecting land trust work, Standards & Practices, and (re)accreditation. For our first in-person meeting since 2019, we are thrilled to welcome Melissa Kalvestrand, Executive Director of the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. In addition to being available for questions, Melissa will discuss recent and upcoming changes to the accreditation requirements, share updates about the administration of the accreditation program, and present observations about challenges and concerns expressed by land trusts from across the country.
Following our time with Melissa, participants will have an opportunity for group discussion, brainstorming and visioning around opportunities and challenges related to maintaining accreditation and encouraging new land trusts to become accredited.
Registration is required, and limited to representatives from accredited land trusts. Lunch will be provided, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
The Working Group is seeking a third co-chair. If you are interested in serving in this role, please contact CLCC’s Deputy Director, Aaron Lefland.
