2026 Accredited Land Trust Working Group Meeting – Requirements Update Session

The Connecticut Land Conservation Council invites Connecticut’s accredited land trusts to reconvene for an in-person meeting of the Accredited Land Trust Working Group. With the recent updates to the Accreditation Requirements Manual from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, this session will provide an opportunity for accredited land trusts to come together, share insights, and learn from one another as you consider how to implement the changes within your organizations.

Participants are encouraged to attend the Accreditation Commission’s webinar on the updated requirements in advance of this meeting on April 29th at noon. This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the updates and serve as a strong foundation for our in-person discussion. Working Group Meeting Details
This meeting is designed as a peer learning opportunity for accredited land trusts to:
- Discuss key updates to the Accreditation Requirements Manual
- Share how your organization is interpreting and approaching compliance
- Exchange tools, templates, and best practices
- Ask questions and learn from the experiences of fellow accredited land trusts
Working Group Co-Chairs Amanda Branson of the Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy and Connie Manes of the Kent Land Trust will help facilitate the discussion. Whether you are preparing for your next accreditation cycle or simply looking to stay current with evolving standards, this working group offers a valuable space to connect, learn, and strengthen your organization’s approach alongside your peers.
The Working Group Meeting will take place at the deKoven House, located at 27 Washington Street in Middletown.
