2026 Presidents Summit
October 9 | 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Part of the Conserving Land by Staying Connected program, the Land Trust Presidents Summit is an annual gathering of the state’s land trust leaders. The Summit fosters peer-to-peer networking for a group of individuals serving in a similar capacity in diverse land trusts, and who otherwise might not get the opportunity to meet and talk.
This year’s summit will include structured discussion about some of the topics that land Presidents are currently grappling with. When completing the registration form, participants will have the opportunity to indicate topics of interest, concerns about their organization or role, or other topics for discussion. In the past, discussion topics have included:
- Succession planning and board recruitment
- Fostering collaboration with other nonprofits (land trusts and others)
- Making the most of your board (composition, engagement, expectations)
- Risk management
The Summit also gives CLCC an opportunity to gather information and gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Connecticut’s land trusts and their Presidents.
Please note that this is an in-person event – no hybrid option will be provided.
For questions, or to suggest a topic for discussion, please contact Aaron Lefland, Deputy Director.
Registration information is forthcoming.
