Climate Smart Forestry Field Tour with Great Mountain Forest
July 12 | 9:00 am - 1:30 pm
Join CLCC and the Litchfield Hills Greenprint Collaborative for a guided field tour at Great Mountain Forest. Led by Matt Gallagher, GMF Director of Programs and Operations, we’ll explore how past management has impacted the forest’s biodiversity, climate resilience, and natural regeneration.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with experts, and observe long-term impacts of various forms of forest management.
This is also an excellent opportunity for land trusts to consider project ideas for CLCC’s Climate Smart Stewardship grant program, which provides grants of up to $50,000 for the planning and implementation of climate smart stewardship practices.
