Incubator Grants >>

For organizations starting a new microhabitat program.

If your organization is ready to build a structured, community-based microhabitat program and needs funding, guidance, and peer support to get started, the Incubator Grant is designed for you.

What it provides:

  • A $1,000 planning grant to develop a strong, equitable program plan
  • A $5,000 startup grant upon completion of a qualifying plan
  • Integration into the national Practitioners Circle for peer support at start-up stage

Catalyst Grants >>

For established microhabitat programs

When funding allows, Village & Wilderness Fund offers Catalyst Grants to Practitioners Circle members looking to test, refine, and share new approaches. This grant was piloted in 2024 – and we hope to offer it again as resources grow.

What it provides:

  • Project funding to test and improve program practices
  • An opportunity to share what you learn across the network
  • Recognition as a field-wide innovator
