The Connecticut Land Conservation Council (CLCC) is seeking a dynamic Communications Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (25 hours/week). This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work with a weekly in-office requirement in Middletown, CT, and involves occasional travel and evening/weekend commitments. As the statewide service provider for Connecticut’s ~120 land trusts, CLCC leads in advocacy, education, and technical assistance to ensure the long-term success of land conservation efforts.

The Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing CLCC’s visibility and engagement through a comprehensive communications strategy. Responsibilities include creating and managing content for e-newsletters, press releases, social media, and the website, as well as overseeing brand identity and graphic design. The role also involves promoting events, fostering community outreach, and representing CLCC at various public engagements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, preferably within the nonprofit sector, with excellent writing, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Familiarity with email marketing platforms, graphic design software, and social media is essential.
