Rebecca Dorsey

Sandy Breslin Conservation Fellow

Rebecca joined CLCC in August of 2025 as the organization’s seventh Sandy Breslin Conservation Fellow. She earned her BA in Political Science and English with a minor in Public Policy from the University of Connecticut in May of 2025, and is continuing her 4+1 Fast-Track MPA program at UConn School of Public Policy.

Previously Rebecca has worked to increase civic engagement in Connecticut with the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s Office as an Outreach and Engagement Intern and has worked to promote safe, secure, and accessible elections with Issue One, a cross-partisan political reform group in Washington, DC.

Born and raised in semi-rural Connecticut, Rebecca has always had an appreciation for the outdoors and the wildlife we share it with. In her free time, she fences with the UConn Fencing Club, makes stained glass art, reads fiction novels, and plays with her incredibly energetic boxer, Beau, and his laid-back feline brother Tod. You can also find Rebecca trying to befriend any wild (or domesticated) animal that crosses her path.
