Yaw Owusu Darko

Senior Project Specialist

Yaw joined CLCC in August 2020 as the organization’s second Sandy Breslin Conservation Fellow. Nearing the end of his one-year fellowship, he was promoted to CLCC’s first Project Specialist. Now serving as CLCC’s Senior Project Specialist, Yaw administers the organization’s funding programs, including the Connecticut Conservation Partnership Program and the Transaction Assistance Grant program. Yaw leads CLCC’s Bird & Hike with CT Land Trusts, coordinating outings between land trusts and community groups. Yaw serves on the Connecticut Equity and Environmental Justice Advisory Council and Chairs the Land Subcommittee.

Yaw received his B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut. With a passion for learning, Yaw has a background in farming, personal training, tutoring/counseling, and facilities maintenance. He enjoys reading and writing poetry, gardening, lifting weights, birding, and playing soccer.
