Protect, Enhance, and Restore Wetlands with Connecticut’s In Lieu Fee Program
When the US Army Corps of Engineers approves construction projects that will have an impact on wetlands, permittees pay into a fund, which land trusts and other groups can apply to receive funding to protect, create, restore, and enhance local wetlands. Find out more about this program a few weeks before this year’s application period opens – and get the chance to brainstorm about your project with program managers from LandTech and the National Audubon Society. Participants will leave with an understanding of what makes for a successful project and feedback about how to craft a strong Letter of Intent.
