What is a Community Land Trust? Bridging Community and Conservation Trusts

Intro Level

What is a Community Land Trust? How does it differ from a Conservation Land Trust? How can they work together? The Southeastern Connecticut Community Land Trust is partnering with conservation land trusts in our region to preserve affordable housing, farmland, and open space. We will include an overview of our bridge loan process and the assistance we receive from Equity Trust, which strengthens our ability to help communities secure and steward land for the long term. For anyone interested in deepening collaboration, we will share practical strategies organizations can use to adapt these approaches to their needs.
