Yes, Your Land Trust Can Lobby

Intro Level, Intermediate Level, Advanced Level

Land trusts are essential participants in land conservation advocacy, including promoting town open space bond initiatives, participating in public hearings before land use commissions, commenting on local, state, and federal policy initiatives, and directly engaging legislators on issues critical to their work. This introductory level session will help to empower land trusts to be better advocates for land conservation policies and initiatives by offering tips, tools and resources, providing an overview of applicable federal/state lobbying regulations, and updating participants on 2026 legislative priorities that impact their land conservation work.
