On July 14, our Regional Conservation Conversation Series will take us to the Avalonia Land Conservancy’s Tri-Town Ridgeline Forest — a 409-acre property straddling Griswold, North Stonington, and Preston.
As reported in The Day and The Hartford Courant, and described as “one of [the land trust’s] most exciting acquisitions in many years”, this extraordinary property — protected in part by a 2017 OSWA grant — connects and enhances a critical greenway, and is the keystone to a 1000+-acre forest block.
