On July 26, for our final Regional Conservation Conversation for the summer, our host, the Aspetuck Land Trust , has generously invited us to pick blueberries at the Trout Brook Valley Preserve.
This 1,009 acre “crown jewel” was purchased by the land trust in 1999 with assistance from a grant from the State of Connecticut. A regional destination, thousands of people annually hike the approximately 14 miles of trails, take in scenic overlooks, and enjoy the apple and blueberry orchards.
