On Monday, July 21, CLCC’s Executive Director, Amy Blaymore Paterson, joined Governor Lamont and others to celebrate the Governor’s recent
announcement of state grants for land conservation.

These grants are being provided through the CT DEEP’s Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition (OSWA) and the Urban Green and Community Garden (UGCG) Grant Programs.

Thank you to Governor Lamont and Commissioner Katie Dykes for this wonderful celebration, and all who participated in yesterday’s event, including:

  • CT DEEP Land Acquisition and Management team members
  • Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam
  • Michael Zaleski, CEO of Riverfront Recapture whose UGCG grant-funded project was the site of the press event
  • Representative Joe Gresko
  • Bristol Mayor Jeff Caggiano
  • U.S. Congressman John Larson
  • Windsor Mayor Nuchette Black-Burke
  • Representatives from Connecticut land trusts and communities that received OSWA and UGCG awards. Congratulations!

CT DEEP is currently accepting applications for the next round of OSWA and UGCG grants. Applications are due November 3. Learn more about the grant opportunities via one of our upcoming info sessions, hosted by CLCC partnership with CT DEEP, or at CEEJAC’s Resource Hour webinar.
