Program Description

Part of CLCC’s Conserving Land by Staying Connected programs, the Land Stewardship Peer Summit is the inaugural gathering of stewardship staff and dedicated stewardship volunteers. This will be an opportunity for peer-to-peer networking and knowledge sharing for individuals doing on the ground management work for land trusts across the state, and builds on the Land Trust Alliance’s Acquisition and Stewardship Peer Group, for which CLCC is a Supporting Partner.

This Summit will primarily be made up of structured discussions, focusing on topics pertinent to stewardship work. When completing the registration form, participants will have the opportunity to indicate topics of interest and concern to their organization. Discussion topics we have identified include:

• Encroachment & Enforcement
• Stewarding for Climate Change
• Volunteer Management
• Funding Opportunities

The Summit also gives CLCC an opportunity to gather information and gain a better understanding of the ways we can best support the work of stewards across Connecticut’s land trust community.

Program Details

Location: This summit will be in-person at the DeKoven House, 27 Washington Street, Middletown, CT, 06457.

Registration: Due to the anticipated popularity of this summit, we are limiting registration to two representatives per land trust. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited.

Cost: This program is free for participants from CLCC land trust members, and $25 per person for non-members. Participants from land trusts that are active members of CLCC received a promo code through an email invitation. If you did not receive a promo code, contact Ricky Bentley.

Food: Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees.
