Black Birders Week Canal Chirp Bird and Hike

May 29   |   10:00 am - 12:00 pm

CLCC and the African American Society are hosting a guided nature walk on the canal trail in Hamden. We will walk 2.5 miles along a flat, paved path and we will peak into Six Lakes, a wetland area which borders the canal trail and provides great habitat for birds. This event is made possible thanks to a grant from the Claire. C. Bennitt Watershed Fund.

This event is open to the public. Since it is a part of Black Birders Week, this event is a space that centers new birders who are people of color, particularly Black people. Binoculars, snacks, and water will be provided for all attendees.
