CLCC, Flanders Land Trust and Nature Center, and GirlTrek are gathering at Fulton Park to host a Bird and Hike event for Black Birders Week. On Saturday, May 30, at 9:00 AM we will meet at the red playground, near the Lower Fulton Park Pond. This event is made possible by a grant from the Connecticut Community Foundation.

This Bird & Hike is open to the public. Since it is a part of Black Birders Week, this event is a space that centers new birders who are people of color, particularly Black women and girls who are interested in birding. We will walk in the grass and along the flat, paved trails that wind through Fulton Park. We will stop often to spot birds flying overhead or resting on a branch right next to us. You can expect to learn more about the variety of birds that live around Fulton Park and enjoy great company!

Children and families are welcome. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. CLCC will provide binoculars, snacks, and water for all attendees.
