Pathways To Nature: Black History Hike with Wyndham Land Trust

March 22   |   12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Join us for the first Pathways to Nature Black History Hike with Wyndham Land Trust.

Within the hardwood forests of Connecticut’s quiet corner lies a small burial ground with a big story to tell. Travel back to the 1700s and explore the remarkable lives of Jonathan and Patience Randall, whose legacy broadens our understanding of slavery in New England.

Led by Donna Dufresne from the Pomfret Historical Society, this hike will take you to the memorial stone honoring those who once lived here.

Event Capacity: Space is limited to just 30 participants! Once you register, you’ll receive information about the meeting location and parking instructions. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with history and nature—sign up now!

BYOB: Bring your own binoculars if you have them. CLCC will also bring binoculars for participants to share during the hike.

Hiking Conditions: This is an intermediate-level hike with some uphill portions and muddy conditions. There may still be snow on the trail, so sturdy footwear is a must and walking sticks are suggested.
